█▌ - FIX SYMBOLS, LIKE DEGREE °, DISPLAYING PROPERLY IN CONSOLE - █▌
 █▌ █▌
 █ ▐▌
 █ If symbols, like a degree symbol ° shows as ° or like a T symbol with a ▐▌
█ block on your terminal and/or when you paste any degree symbol into a ▐▌
█ script it looks like three strange characters; this is related to the ▐▌
█ settings in your own SSH client and not the actual code you are putting ▐▌
 █ into your script. ▐▌
 █ ▐▌
█ To fix this change the settings in your SSH client; encoding to UTF-8 and ▐▌
█ do not use the font 'Terminal' or 'Lucida Console ANSI'. ▐▌
 █ ▐▌
█ For example in PuTTy or KiTTy: ▐▌
█ Window > Appearance set your font, then Window > Translation > ▐▌
█ 'Received data assumed to be in which character set' drop down window ▐▌
 █ change it to UTF-8. ▐▌
 █ ▐▌
█ SecureCRT: Options > Global Options > General > Default Session click ▐▌
█ 'Edit Default Settings...' button > Terminal > Appearance select your font ▐▌
 █ font e.g. Courier New 9pt, then 'Character encoding' select UTF-8. ▐▌
█ Restart your SSH session for the changes to be displayed. ▐▌
 █ ▐▌
█ BTW to type the degree symbol in Windows hold down your Alt key and type ▐▌
█ using the number pad 0176, then let go of the Alt key. This will not work ▐▌
█ if your font is set to Terminal- it will only show as a block. ▐▌
 █ ▐▌
█ To show the degree symbol in HTML code use ° ▐▌
 █ ▐▌
 █ //---------------------------------------------------------------------- ▐▌
